“My work deals with the interaction of conceptual and natural spaces, personal pathways and cultural experiences. Often visually referencing variations of different cultural textile techniques, my pieces explore the relationships between applied craft and persona; pathways. I investigate the relationships between nature, the applied hand and my personal memory system. My weavings become translated cultural experiences which are represented by color, shade and shape. Reflection of time, memory, knowledge and history are utilized and transformed into my work.”
